Hope in the times of Corona
The pandemic showed how important visual communication is. Images have the power to communicate a message to many more than a text can. During the pandemic many professionals in visual communication, lost most of their assignments and income. As a project leader at The Centre for graphic design and illustration I initiated the project Hope in the times of Corona, where we commissioned Illustrators to interpret the theme. We cooporated with Vasakronan, a real estate company, who were also happy to commission Illustrators/artists to fill their empty stores with hope. My role was inititiator and project leader, consulting for the Centre for Graphic design and Illustration in Sweden. I also initiated a similar project in collaboration with Grandpa Store (picture at bottom) Participating illustrators were Hugo Sandsjö, Jiawen Mao, Ellinor Richey, Ellen Molander and Neale Payling.
